IBA Clinch Inaugural IoBM Super League Title with Thrilling 6-Run Victory Over IoBM

Karachi, The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) emerged as the champion of the inaugural IoBM Super League (ISL 2024), an inter-university cricket championship hosted by the Institute of Business Management (IoBM). The thrilling finale saw IBA defeat IoBM by a narrow margin of 6 runs.The championship, which commenced on November 16, 2024, featured eight university cricket teams from across Karachi, including KASBIT, Salim Habib University, Denning University, FAST, MITE, and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto University of Law (SZABUL). The event was organized by IoBM’s Students and Sports Affairs Department.The tournament featured live-streamed matches on IoBM’s YouTube channel, complete with professional commentary, on-screen graphics, on-ground analysis, and interviews. The pool matches and semi-finals were held at the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy, while the final took place at the Naya Nazimabad Cricket Ground.In the final match, IBA won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 159 runs in 20 overs and losing 6 wickets. IoBM failed to chase the target, scoring 153 runs in 20 overs despite losing 9 wickets. Mujtaba Suleman of IBA played a crucial 68-run innings, earning him the Man of the Match award.The championship concluded with several outstanding performances. Award recipients included Mujtaba Suleman (IBA) for Man of the Match, Maheer Ahmed (IBA) for Best Bowler, Muhammad Imran (IoBM) for Best Fielder, Harris Bin Tahir (Denning University of Law) for Best Batsman, and Bilal Khalid (IoBM) for Best Player of the Championship.The inaugural IoBM Super League (ISL 2024) was a resounding success, providing a platform for young cricketers to showcase their talents and hone their skills.
