Karachi, Council of Pakistan Karachi organized a mega musical concert for its members and their families at the YMCA Ground to celebrate the grand success of the 39-day World Culture Festival 2025. The highlight of the evening was a spectacular performance by internationally renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who enthralled thousands of attendees with his soulful voice and powerful stage presence.
Opening the concert with the devotional kalam “Allah Hoo,” Rahat Fateh Ali Khan went on to perform timeless classics popularized by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, including “Dum Mast Qalandar” and “Akhiyan Udeekdiyan.” His mesmerizing performance had the audience singing and dancing along, turning the event into a night of celebration and joy for Arts Council members.
The musical evening was attended by Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Asif Hyder Shah, while President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmed Shah warmly welcomed all guests. Vice President Munawar Saeed, Secretary Ejaz Ahmed Farooqi, Treasurer Qudsia Akbar, Governing Body members, and co-opted members were also present, reflecting the strong participation of the Arts Council community.
Speaking on the occasion, President Muhammad Ahmed Shah said the day was like Eid for Arts Council members and their families, acknowledging the Sindh Government’s full support and the Chief Secretary’s personal supervision of security arrangements during the World Culture Festival. Chief Secretary Syed Asif Hyder Shah praised the festival’s growth, noting participation from 142 countries this year, and expressed optimism for even broader global representation in the future.
