Karachi, (Web Desk) A delegation from the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) visited the Al-Umeed Rehabilitation Association (AURA) for Cerebral Palsy as part of the organisation’s licence renewal process. The team, comprising Programme Officers Abdul Karim and Salmaan Cheema, was welcomed by AURA President Ms. Munizeh Ali Habib, Vice President Dr. Habiba Hasan, General Secretary Ms. Abida Memon, and Treasurer Mr. Zafar Bhagwani.
The visiting team was given an overview of AURA’s operations and also attended a flag-hoisting ceremony held to mark the 78th Independence Day. Director Ms. Amtul Abbas delivered a presentation highlighting the centre’s inclusive education programmes, extracurricular activities, and rehabilitation services.
The delegation toured different operational sections, including the accounts department, record-keeping systems, and classrooms specially designed for children with cerebral palsy. They also inspected the physiotherapy and hydrotherapy units to review compliance with educational and rehabilitation standards.
The PCP team appreciated the efforts of AURA’s faculty, therapists, and professionals for maintaining quality programmes, while also identifying areas that require further attention to strengthen the centre’s overall performance.
