Karachi, (Sports Reporter) The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the dates and squadbs for the National Women’s U19 Tournament 2026-27, which will be held from Thursday, 20 August to Friday, 4 September at the NBP Sports Complex and HPC Oval Ground in Karachi. A total of 75 U19 players from 24 cities across Pakistan will feature in the five-team tournament comprising 21 matches.
The five teams are Conquerors, Challengers, Strikers, Stars and Invincibles, with Fizza Fiaz, Samiya Afsar, Ravail Farhan, Komal Khan and Zoofishan Ayyaz named as captains. The teams arrived in Karachi on 16 August and will train until 19 August. The PCB has divided the tournament into two legs to provide players with greater competitive exposure, with the first 10 matches to be played in 30-over format and the remaining 10 league matches and the final in T20 format.
Each team will play eight matches in the double round-robin league stage, with the top two sides qualifying for the final on 4 September. Several players were selected through trials conducted by the women’s national selection committee across the country, while members of Pakistan’s women’s U19 squad that recently featured in the five-match T20 series against South Africa will also participate.
The tournament is expected to play an important role in developing the next generation of professional women cricketers in Pakistan and will also help finalise the player pool for upcoming major assignments, including the ACC Women’s U19 Asia Cup and ICC Women’s U19 World Cup. All matches will begin at 9:30am PKT, while the venue for the final will be announced later.
The winning team will receive PKR 1 million, while the runners-up will be awarded PKR 750,000. The tournament will feature two rounds of league matches, with the same 10 fixtures repeated in the second leg in T20 format before the top two teams meet in the final.
