KARACHI, (Sports Reporter) The official logo of the IMC Over-40s T20 Cricket World Cup was unveiled at a ceremony held at the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA) office.
The inaugural edition of the mega event will take place in Karachi from 21st November to 1st December 2025, featuring 12 international teams — Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, Canada, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the USA, and the Rest of the World XI. A total of 42 matches will be contested at different venues across the city. All of Pakistan’s matches will be played under floodlights, broadcast live on television, and streamed worldwide through multiple digital platforms.
Speaking on the occasion, PVCA Chairman Fawad Ijaz Khan expressed his delight that Pakistan will host the first-ever edition of the Over-40s T20 World Cup. “It is a matter of immense pride that this unique tournament in the T20 format is starting from Pakistan. We are determined to make it a memorable event with the best possible arrangements,” he remarked.
Highlighting the logo design, Mr. Khan said it reflects the true spirit of cricket, its traditions, and heritage. Since the event celebrates veteran players, the logo also embodies maturity, dignity, and the timeless values of the game. He added that the green colour of Pakistan’s national flag has been prominently incorporated in the design, symbolizing the country’s cultural and sporting identity. Pakistan’s official kit for the tournament will also carry this theme.
Beyond cricket, the PVCA has lined up several off-field activities including official dinners, golf sessions, and recreational outings such as picnics for the participating teams. Mr. Khan expressed confidence that the World Cup will not only deliver thrilling cricketing action but also promote sports tourism and project Pakistan’s famed hospitality to the world.
