ISTANBUL, USA’s Joaquim Boumtje has been named the TISSOT Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup 2026 after inspiring the United States to a historic eighth consecutive U17 world title.
Boumtje delivered outstanding performances throughout the tournament, playing a pivotal role in the Americans’ unbeaten championship run. His consistency, leadership, and all-around impact earned him the competition’s highest individual honour, which was presented during the post-final awards ceremony.
