Karachi, Naya Nazimabad Foundation has awarded scholarships worth Rs. 10 million to support the educational expenses of 200 talented and deserving students of Jinnah University for Women. Representing renowned industrialist and Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Arif Habib, Foundation Director Syed Muhammad Talha presented the scholarship cheque to Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naeem Farooqui in a ceremony attended by Director Finance Sunny Ahmed, along with Deans and Registrars of all faculties.
The scholarship initiative fulfills a commitment made by Mr. Arif Habib during his recent visit to Jinnah University for Women, where he toured academic departments and met Chancellor Mr. Wajihuddin Ahmed. During the visit, he pledged to provide scholarships for 200 deserving female students to help them continue their higher education without financial constraints.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Muhammad Talha emphasized the importance of investing in women’s education, stating that educating a woman contributes to the progress of an entire family and society. He reaffirmed Naya Nazimabad Foundation’s commitment to supporting educational opportunities for women and promoting academic excellence across the country.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naeem Farooqui thanked Arif Habib and Syed Muhammad Talha for their generous contribution, noting that the scholarship recipients were selected strictly on merit and academic performance. Director Finance Sunny Ahmed also praised the initiative, describing it as a commendable effort to support talented students and encourage them to pursue their educational goals. He expressed confidence that such initiatives would create new opportunities and inspire future generations of young women.
