Karachi, by (Zeeshan Hussain) Thanks to Salman Saeed’s explosive batting display, Showbiz XI lifted the Naya Nazimabad Fame Wheels Stars Premier League Season Seven cricket trophy. In the grand finale, held under floodlights at the Naya Nazimabad Cricket Stadium, Showbiz XI overpowered Social Media Stars by 35 runs.
Batting first after winning the toss, Showbiz XI posted 136 runs for the loss of four wickets in eight overs. Opener Salman Saeed stole the show with a blistering 63 runs off just 20 balls, smashing three sixes and four boundaries. Rayed Khan contributed 20 valuable runs.
In reply, Social Media Stars faltered in their chase and managed only 101 runs for eight wickets. Faisal Qureshi shone with the ball, claiming two wickets, and was later adjudged Man of the Match.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Munawar Abbas Sheikh, Chairman Fame Wheels, who praised the players’ efforts and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting sports.
